Essential Functions of BMP

BMP deals with all companies applying for exploration or production licences in Greenland, whether onshore or offshore, whether for minerals or for petroleum. BMP handles licence applications with a "one-door" process, normally making it unnecessary for applicants to contact other departments within the Government of Greenland or the Government of Denmark.

BMP draws on the expertise of GEUS, NERI, and DEA within the Danish Ministry of Environment and Energy.
