Introduction

The mineral department is responsible for the administration of all activities regarding minerals in Greenland.

This includes processing of applications for prospecting, exploration and exploitation of minerals, approval of applications for diamond drilling operations, blasting operations etc. Furthermore the department supervise activities concerning safety and environmental issues in connection with mineral activities.
