Nunaoil A/S

Nunaoil A/S, founded in 1985, is the national oil company of Greenland. Nunaoil is owned by the Greenland Home Rule Government and the Danish State in equal shares. Nunaoil has a share in all hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation licences in Greenland.

Nunaoil aims to generate and encourage new interest in oil and gas exploration in Greenland.

Nunaoil's approach is, through comprehensive co-operation with the oil industry present in Greenland, to facilitate the operations of international oil companies.

As operator for the KANUMAS project over the period 1990-96, Nunaoil has acquired seismic data offshore North-West, North-East, and East Greenland. Nunaoil has also been engaged in speculative data acquisition offshore West Greenland.
