Fylla licence:
An exploration licence covering two subareas of 6,842 km² and 2,645 km², for a total area of 9,487 km², was granted on 5 December 1996 to a group headed by the Norwegian company Statoil, with Phillips Petroleum and Dansk Olie og Naturgas (DONG) as partners. The Greenlandic-Danish state-owned company Nunaoil participates as carried partner during the exploration phase.

Sisimiut West licence:
An exploration licence covering an area of 4,744 km² was granted on 29 June 1998 to a group headed by the American company Phillips Petroleum, with Statoil and Dansk Olie og Naturgas (DONG) as partners. The Greenlandic-Danish state-owned company Nunaoil participates as carried partner during the exploration phase.
